Artist's Profile, Ann Marie Gilmore

Ann Marie Gilmore is a Montreal based artist specializing in watercolors. Born in Montreal and raised in the Bahamas, our artist did her undergraduate and post graduate fine art training at the Edinburgh College of Art,Scotland

She has traveled widely living in Greece, Turkey, Morocco, Spain, Italy & the United Kingdom in the Old World as well as Peru, Mexico,
Barbados & Jamaica in the New World before settling in her birthplace.

She taught fine arts at Concordia University and at the Saidye Bronfman Center in Montreal and now paints full time.

Besides studying art, Ann also enjoys the practice of Astrology, both Western & Eastern, for over twenty years and continues an active interest in it.

Painting and exhibiting throughout her travels, she now draws inspiration for her original works from those experiences and from her inner visions and mystical imagination.

She has contributed to many group shows in her career and has held numerous private, individual exhibitions over the years. She was represented for many years by the Yaneef Gallery, Toronto.
