| Carole Raschella's interest in art dates from childhood, as does her love of dogs. Trained at the Laird School of Art in England, at various schools in the U.S. and most recently at UCLA, Carole has explored many media, including computer-aided design. Her specialty is extremely detailed black and white photo realism, in either pencil or pen and ink. Until recently, Carole's focus has been in the commercial field, designing and illustrating souvenir items for Busch Gardens, Hershey park and various national zoos. She has also worked as a technical artist for ITT and other companies. Although her body of work spans many subjects and many forms of media, including computer art, her main focus has always been purebred dogs. Carole's canine portraits have been on exhibit at the Pacific Wildlife Gallery in California and were awarded as Best of Breed and best of Opposite Sex trophies at the Gordon Setter National Specialty. She has also created the cover illustrations for Golden Retriever World and The Gordon Quarterly magazines. Carole lives in California where she shows and competes in both obedience and conformation with her Gordon Setter and two Irish Setters.
